Bronze sculpture suspended on copper chains.

Students from DesignLAB 2nd year held a exhibition on the species of the future, titled "Don't feed the animals" at Schau Fenster in Berlin,
in March 2018.

The sculpture refers to metamorphosis of Arachnée from the greco-roman myth.
The myth tells the story of the spider's creation: a young woman, Arachnée, defied the godess Athena with her weaving skills, Athena punished her arrogance and turned her into a spider. The myth details the metamoprhosis of the young woman, her bust shrinking on her hands.

The sculpture illustrates the opposite mutation, the spider turning back into a human, the sculpture has human-like fingers or half-spider half-human fingers for legs.

The sculpture was made with a very ancient technique of sand casting.
